While I have never watched the original show that ran for three seasons from 1965-1968, I did binge watch the Netflix revival. I enjoyed the first season, I thought the new robot was especially cool. The show has a simple premise, at least to begin with, and I think the showrunners executed it well. With the show being set in space the possibilities of where Season 2 will take the Robinson family are nearly endless, new aliens, new adventures, and new obstacles to overcome.
The series stars Toby Stevens (Black Sails), as John Robinson, along with Molly Parker (Deadwood) as John’s wife, Maureen. The rest of the Robinson family is played by Maxwell Jenkins who stars as Will, Mina Sundwall as Penny, and Taylor Russell as Judy. Rounding out the cast is Ignacio Serricchio and Parker Posey.
