Director of the upcoming Red Sonja remake, Bryan Singer, continues to make headlines in the news. Unfortunately for Singer, most of the content contained in the articles have centered around allegations of sexual misconduct. Recently, The Atlantic published the stories of four more allegations coming from alleged underage victims of the director’s misconduct. To research their story Alex French and Maximillian Potter claim to have spoken to fifty plus sources over the course of twelve months.
This is the first time the four men have gone public with their stories. One of the victims, Victor Valdovinos said he was molested when he was 13 and working as an actor on Singer’s 1998 film Apt Pupil. The other three men are given pseudonyms in the article because of fear of retaliation and a preference to keep the past hidden from the public. All four describe encounters with the director of X Men fame.
Alex French and Maximillian Potter contacted Singer’s lawyer, Andrew B. Brettler for comment. Brettler highlighted that Singer has never been arrested or charged with any crime. In wake of the recent allegations, Millennium Films who is producing the upcoming Red Sonja remake have confirmed that Singer will still direct.
