****POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR THE FLASH SEASON 5****
The Flash Season 5 has been extremely hit or miss, but is significantly better than Season 4. They tried The Thinker last season, which didn’t work so it seems that they are going back to what has worked in the past: speedsters. Now, this has created highs and lows for the show. Season 1 was amazing with Reverse Flash (whom they have thankfully brought back this season), while Season 2 was decent with Zoom, but Season 3 with Savitar left much to be desired.
Now that we are past the midway point, we know that Thawne and Nora are working together, but could another villain from Nora’s future of 2049 be waiting to make an appearance?
CB reported that Twitter user @mariimakii posted some set photos from the upcoming Episode 18 titled “Godspeed”, which can be seen by clicking on the sources link below.
In case you are unaware of Godspeed, Fandom has a character bio. that reads:
“Godspeed Born August Heart also known as Detective August Heart is a Metahuman Speedsters and The Former Detective Partner of Barry Allen. August was the only witness to Barry’s accident, that turned him into The Flash. While going after a criminal organization called The Black Hole, August was struck by lightning during a Speed Force Storm in Central City. He became The Flash’s “Partner”, but in secret, August became the ruthless Vigilante known as “Godspeed”, and got his revenge on who he suspected to be his brother’s killer.”

Obviously, some aspects of the character would have to be changed for the show due to Barry’s accident happening years ago. To add, Godspeed may even be faster than The Flash and can separate speedsters from their connection to the speed force, which can lead to their death. This could have serious implications for Barry, Nora, and even Thawne.
