Scoot McNairy Joins Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

Quentin Tarantino continues to round out the stellar cast for his latest offering, Once Upon a Time In Hollywood, this time, with character and TV actor Scoot McNairy. According to Deadline, the Halt and Catch Fire star will be joining the likes of Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio in the role of a cowboy named Business Bob Gilbert. This “character” sounds like it’s actually a character within the film that’s a part of a Western TV show. It’s unclear if we will only be seeing that character, or if the actor who plays said character in the film will also be a player in the movie (apologies if you’re getting lost in the meta nature of all this).

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is being described as sort of a Pulp Fiction-esque story that takes place in (you guessed it) Hollywood in 1969. Based on the ensemble nature of the cast and the description, I wouldn’t be surprised if we were getting multiple intersecting stories once again, which few would complain about.

Leonardo DiCaprio will play a washed-up TV star in the film, Brad Pitt his long-time stunt double friend, Al Pacino will be Rick’s agent, Margot Robbie will be Sharon Tate, Burt Reynolds will play George Spahn, Damian Lewis will play Steve McQueen, Dakota Fanning will play Squeaky Fromme, and countless others round out this amazing cast.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will release through Sony, and will mark Tarantino’s first collaboration with the studio. The film was originally intended to release through Tarantino’s long-time collaborator The Weinstein Company, but that obviously changed once Harvey Weinstein started getting accused of sexual misconduct.
