Despite streaming cancellations after more cancellations, Servant received a bit of good news today.

Apple TV+, competing to be one of the major stream services, announced the third season of the psychological thriller Servant.

The show premiered as one of the flagship programs during Apple TV+’s launch year. It was highly anticipated with renowned Academy Award-nominated director M. Night Shyamalan lending his credit as executive producer and directed three of the episodes during the two seasons so far.

The series is created by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts nominated executive producer and writer Tony Gasgallop. He wrote thrilling shows, including 24: Legacy, Resurrection, Inside Men, and Berlin Station.

For the second season, the cast includes Lauren Ambrose, Toby Kebbell, Nell Tiger Free, and Rupert Grint—all reprising their roles from the first season.

Servant follows a couple in mourning in a Philadelphia suburb after an unforgivable tragedy that caused a rift in their marriage. With that incident, a young nanny moves in to care for their baby, a reborn doll. However, events take weird twists and turn as the child is real and the husband with others uncover the secrets behind the mysterious nanny.

The complete first season is now streaming on Apple TV+. Ten episodes of the second season debuts globally with its first episode on Friday, January 15, with one new episode weekly on Apple TV+.

Although M. Night Shyamalan is not the showrunner of the series, his influence is imprinted over the episodes as the viewer constantly guessing the twists and wanting to know the end. No doubt Shyamalan fans will be delighted to hear this story continues on as long-form programming.
