Settlers is a slow-burn and beautifully shot sci-fi film that feels like a classic western. Rockefeller made this is feature film directorial debut and entirely shot in the isolated desert area of Vioolsdift in the Northern Cape in South Africa.
The studio released a scene in a clip with Remmy discovering a warning on the window of their home from foreign invaders to leave the property. In utter panic, her mother and father were alarmed by the warning and immediately set to defend Remmy and the property they currently live in.
