Grammy-winning artist Shaboozey will make his San Diego Comic-Con International 2026 debut to promote his new comic series, The Outlaw Cherie Lee.
The country music singer launched his career with the Billboard chart-topping song “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which earned him five Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist and Song of the Year.
Now, he’s branching his country influences onto the page with the comic series The Outlaw Cherie Lee.
The country music singer will make two separate appearances at SDCC 2026, with a panel and a signing on Friday, June 24.
In a collaboration with Funko, Shaboozey will be at the Funko Village, booth #5341, on the exhibit floor to sign copies of The Outlaw Cherie Lee. Copies of the first of three issues will be sold exclusively at the Funko Booth prior to the nationwide release. He will be signing on the floor beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Later Friday night, he will be the featured guest for a live podcast and panel with Get Rec’d With Straw Hat Goofy (LIVE) from 7 to 8 p.m. in room 6BCF. In this special episode, podcaster and fandom influencer Juju “Straw Hat Goofy” Green will interview Shaboozey with a live audience to discuss his comic book debut. Also, they will be discussing the anticipated new album of the same name, which will be released on July 31st.

Although the official synopsis of the comic has not been released, it has been described as a story of “love, revenge, and everything in between” along with the album.
The Outlaw Cherie Lee story is created by Collins “Shaboozey” Chubueze and Xaivia Inniss, with the comic script and story adaptation by Robert Jeffrey II. Pencil/inks and cover art are from Sean Damien Hill, colors are by Andrew Dalhouse, and letters are by Taylor Esposito of Ghost Glyph Studios. Sarah Schonian Speich edited the series with design from Matt Harding.
Range Comics will sell the comic on August 18, but attendees can be the first to purchase it at the Funko Booth prior to the official release date.
