Thanks for stopping by to The Comic Stash: February edition! It is hard to believe it is already February 2023, and I hope you have someone special to share this Valentine’s Day. Maybe buy them some comics if they enjoy them! If you are not sure what is worth your time and money, no worries, there is plenty out there to choose from. The following are just a few titles that stand out to me this month and are worth your time to pick up and enjoy.

Remember, the following are just what I like and have a hunch will be worth your money, but please get what you enjoy and what stands out to you. Again, have a great Valentine’s Day and hope this year has been treating you well so far. Let’s get started with The Comic Stash: February!

February 1, 2023

Week one of The Comic Stash: February edition opens with Marvel Comics. They have a new series out this week, Bloodline: Daughter of Blade #1 by Danny Lore with art by Karen S. Darboe. This should be a fun story as we follow Brielle Brooks who finds out she is the daughter of the famous Blade.

The next chapter in Momoko’s Marvel Universe is out this week, Demon Wars: Down in Flames #1 with the story and art by Peach Momoko. The series is fun along with great art from Momoko.

Image Comics has a new series as well coming out this week with the title, Blood Tree #1 by Peter J. Tomasi with art by Maxim Simic. This story will follow two NYPD detectives who are on the hunt for a killer with the name Angel Killer. This is a must for crime and suspense story fans.

Ablaze Comics has the second issue of Children of the Black Sun by Dario Sicchio and art by Letizia Cadonici. The story follows children who have been born under the Sun turning Black for a day.

February 8, 2023

Marvel Comics has Amazing Spider-Man #19 by Joe Kelly with art by Terry Dodson coming out this week. This issue follows the events of Dark Web as we find Peter and Felicia trying to recover from the event.

Marvel has a new series out this week as well: Red Goblin #1 by Alex Paknadel with art by Jan Bazaldua. Should be interesting as we get more goblins in the Marvel Universe.

Whatnot Publishing has a new title out this week: The Exiled #1 by Wesley Snipes, Keith Arem, and Adam Lawson with art by Eskivo. This is a title that a lot of fans of Wesley Snipes have been looking forward to. It will have a ton of variant issues to pick from being a first issue.

Image Comic’s Eight Billion Genies #7 by Charles Soule with art by Ryan Browne will be out that week and has been a huge hit for comic fans.

February 15, 2023

Moving into week three of The Comic Stash: February, DC Comics will have issue #8 of Batman: Beyond the White Knight with story and art by Sean Murphy and Dave Stewart. This issue will tie the end of this story arc as we see what happens to Bruce since he is an escaped felon and what will happen to Gotham City at the end.

Archie Comics has a one-shot this week with the title, Chilling Adventures Presents Betty: The Final Girl #1 by Sam Maggs, Casey Gilly, and Micol Ostow with art by Carola Borelli, Natalie Nardozza, and Laura Braga. In this story we get to follow Betty as she finds herself in a horror movie coming to life deep in the woods.

Millarworld Comics will have Nemesis Reloaded #2 by Mark Millar with art by Jorge Jimenez, out this week. Nemesis is rich and evil, and we see how he has everyone working for him to take out the police force.

February 22, 2023

The last week of The Comic Stash: February has Boom! Studios who will have issue #29 of Something is Killing the Children out this week. To be completely honest, this is one of my favorite titles that I look forward to each month. This amazing title is by James Tynion and art by Werther Dell’Edera.

Image Comics has the return of Nocterra #12 by Scott Snyder with art by Tony S. Daniel, out this week. We will have a new leader of the Sundog Colony as they are still on the path to reach Eos. I enjoyed the last 11 issues and the two one-shots they had tied to this storyline.

Image will also have a new series out with the title: Local Man #1 by Tony Fleecs with Tim Seeley doing both writing and art. This story will be fans of crime noir and superhero stories, we follow Jack Xaver a hero who fell from grace.

DC Comics will continue their One Bad Day run with Batman: One Bad Day Clayface #1 by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly with art by Xermanico. The series is a great read, and it is great to see how they cover each of Batman’s villains.

Superman will have issue #1 out this week as they start a new Superman run. Sometimes it does get annoying to see companies restarting a series so they can get collectors to get that new #1. However, it’s a business, so I get it.

Marvel Comics will also have a series starting with a #1 as well. Immortal X-Men will be out this week which is by Kieron Gillen with art by Paco Medina.

Dark Horse Comics will have a new series this week: Blue Book #1 by James Tynion with art by Michael Oeming. This series will be based on true weird stories from UFO and alien encounters, should be fun for fans of alien tales.
