Will T.J. Miller Ever Return To Deadpool Franchise? Here’s What He Said
We’ll be the first ones to admit that the online mediasphere has a tendency to move too quickly on news pieces. Even when things are stated by actors or creatives, the reality is there are often too many moving parts that go into a film to take the word of any one person seriously. Yes, that occasionally includes the very actors involved in projects, who we know are usually the last ones to know about things.
Still, in the past year or so, actor T.J. Miller has seemingly seen better times in his career. He left Silicon Valley for some reason — parting on not-so-great terms — jumped on the Emoji movie, and was later accused of sexual assault. Several months after that, he was arrested for making a fake bomb threat. With all that news stacked up against him, reports of him likely not returning to play the character Weasel after Deadpool 2 weren’t surprising. But then there was a supposed confirmation from actor T.J. Miller himself saying he wasn’t coming back…Was he telling the truth? Miller went online to contest such claims.
Guys. There are no plans yet for a deadpool 3. I’m contracted to do a third, but saying I’m not going to be in something that has yet to exist is like saying “t.j. confirmed he will not be reincarnated into an elephant.”

@movieweb @BlastingNews @screenrant @HorrorCultFilms @GotThisCovered I just wanted @DanielRPK to stop adding me to a DM chain so I told him I won’t be in deadpool 3- he was spamming me. There is no Deadpool 3 yet. I was never supposed to be in x force. Stop reporting fake things?

And you know what…? Miller is not wrong. From what we know so far, Fox’s plans for Deadpool are currently only extended to X-Force from director Drew Goddard. Even actor Ryan Reynolds has expressed doubt that you could legitimately have a third Deadpool film, given that the character could only have his world stripped away so many times before it gets old.
With that in mind, he’s totally right. Right now, Deadpool 3 is likely not even in the conversation, so it’s completely premature to make a statement in the affirmative or negative that any character, let alone Weasel, will be making a comeback.
