1408 was released in 2007 and stars John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson. In the film, Mike Enslin (Cusack) is a burned out writer and paranormal investigator grieving the loss of his daughter. After receiving a strange postcard warning him to stay away from room 1408 of a NYC hotel, Mike throws caution to the wind and enters a battle of will against an evil room.
