I got fond memories of high school. Back in PG County, the girls were all about Tyler Perry plays. I mean everywhere. Had a long-term sub who’d roll out the TV like clockwork, pop in a Madea play, and let gospel music take over. You knew what time it was. Perry in full Madea mode, dropping wisdom between the chaos.
That memory sticks, probably because every girl I knew was either watching Tyler Perry or flipping through a Zane novel. Funny enough, my younger brother dated Zane’s niece. That led to my fiancée and me hitting up a Zane BBQ.
Now Perry’s come a long way. His latest film, Duplicity, hits Amazon on March 20, 2025. Check out the synopsis below.
