Us fans are known for to succumbing to the hopes and wishes that elude us. For years, we had hoped that the X-Men would somehow make it into the MCU, and while that still may happen, it’s been 10 years, and Marvel Studios has done just fine without them.
However, with the overall story in the MCU skewing more and more to the galactic side of things, there is yet another characters fans are hoping to see very soon: Silver Surfer. The character played a pivotal role in the Infinity Gauntlet storyline, and many have been hoping that some sort of arrangement could be made to let him play that role in Avengers: Infinity War.

If you were one of those people, prepare to be disappointed, as when asked by Yahoo UK about that, co-director Joe Russo said:
“I don’t think we own Silver Surfer. But it’s fan-wish fulfillment and, you know, if this Disney-Fox deal goes through there’s going to be a lot more characters coming into the Marvel universe, so some of those crazy fan theories might come true.”
Indeed, with the Disney and Fox deal (With the former acquiring most of the latter company), this is something that is possible as early as Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, given that Russo didn’t even seem sure that they owned it, it sounds pretty definitive that the character didn’t even come into discussions regarding Infinity War.
