At this point, we’ve heard it all. Pretty much every actor under the sun is left in the dark when it comes to Avengers: Infinity War. For some, it makes complete sense. Actors Mark Ruffalo and Tom Holland are notoriously awful at keeping secrets, but you think there’d be at least one exception to this rule. And if there was one exception to be made, it may be with Robert Downey Jr., who is been there since the very beginning back in 2008 when he uttered the words, “I am Iron Man.”
But it sounds like even Downey has been kept out of the loop when it comes to the script for Avengers: Infinity War. While at a recent press event in Singapore, the cast and crew were asks which of the Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes would be the best fit to take on Thanos.

Downey replied:
“Here’s my guess – because I haven’t read the script [Laughter]. Because Jeremy Renner is not in the poster, I think he’s the only one that can beat Thanos! I think it’s Hawkeye! [Cheers] No, I think it’s Jeremy: only Jeremy can defeat him [laughs].”
Yeah, it’s all in good fun, but the big take away for me here is that even downy has not read the entire script for the film. At the same event, he even confirms that they have been shooting scenes blind, so they really have no idea the context of what they’re saying.
As I have mentioned before, this amount of secrecy is unprecedented. At this point in the game, some of our staff would have already seen the film, but as it stands only around 24 minutes of footage has been shown to anybody. April 27 can’t get here soon enough!
