Do you need another reminder of just how many people are going to show up Marvel’s upcoming epic, Avengers: Infinity War? No? Well, that’s too damn bad, because that’s what you’re about to get.

If all the talk from actors, photos from set, and trailers are any indication, Avengers: Infinity War will indeed be one hell of a get-together for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Speaking with Total Film (via CinemaBlend), one of the film’s stars, Paul Bettany (who plays Vision), discussed that moment when he realized just how many people were in the movie.
“Then there’s the fact that I woke up, and I knew we were shooting in the middle of nowhere. We were shooting an outdoors scene, and we started to descend down into this valley. There’s this f-cking town, and I was like “Where the f-ck is this?” I got my phone out and there was nothing there, and that’s when I realized there were no buildings, it was all trailers. I’ve been making movies for 20 years and I’ve never seen anything that big or bonkers in my life…”
While we sadly don’t have a photo of what Bettany actually saw (at least not from his perspective), this does remind us of a very specific drone photo from last year. If you’ll recall, it was shared from the Russo Brothers’ official Instagram, and it showed off the dozens of trailers parked on-location.
Check it out below:
Is this the same exact “town” that Paul Bettany is talking about? It’s hard to say, as they may have moved around a bit, but I can certainly understand the scope of such an image being so surreal to Bettany.
