Bloodborne To Be Adapted Into Animation From Sean “Jacksepticeye” McLoughlin | CinemaCon 2026

Bloodborne

Rumors no more.

The Internet buzzed with speculation about the video game Bloodborne being made into a film. Wonder no more.

At CinemaCon’s Sony presentation, it was announced that PlayStation’s fantasy video Bloodborne is being adapted into an animated feature film. And, like the video game, it will have an R rating.

President of Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group Sanford Panitch promised that the animated film would be “very true” to its gore.

Although it’s the initial announcement, the plot is kept under wraps and probably in its pre-production stages.

One of the project’s producers will be content creator Sean “Jacksepticye” McLoughlin, who is known for streaming gameplay on YouTube and is a fan of the game. Not to mention, he produced, starred, and directed one of the biggest independent horror films this year with Iron Lung. So he’s an up-and-coming filmmaker to watch.

He will produce alongside PlayStation Productions and Lyrical Animation.

The game is a gothic horror in a city full of deranged mobs and nightmarish creatures lurking around every corner. It is known for its challenging gameplay and a vast, layered world.

At this time, no release date has been set.
