Boiling Point Trailer Reveals The Extreme Pressure of a Restaurant

Boiling Point starring Stephen Graham and Vinette Robinson

Running a successful restaurant is one of the most difficult business ventures one can endure. More than eighty percent of restaurants fail within the first two years. As in Boiling Point, the drama demonstrates the pressure of the riskiest business venture in America.

The film stars Stephen Graham, Vinette Robinson, Alice Feetham, Hannah Walters, Malachi Kirby, Izuka Hoyle, Taz Skyler, Lauryn Ajufo, Daniel Larkai, Lourdes Faberes, Jason Flemyng, and Ray Panthaki. Philip Barantini directed the movie from the screenplay written by James Cummings and Philip Barantini.

Here’s the official synopsis:

On the busiest night of the year at one of the hottest restaurants in London, charismatic, commanding head chef Andy Jones (Stephen Graham) balances along a knife’s edge as multiple personal and professional crises threaten to destroy everything he’s worked for. A surprise visit from a health and safety inspector sets the staff on edge as the overbooked hotspot begins to fill with guests. Jones alternately berates and cajoles his diverse staff, trying his best to diffuse tensions between management and his crew, while catering to the ridiculous demands of customers.

There’s quite a bit of buzz surrounding Boiling Point with its relatability and realism of the inner workings of a restaurant from the management to the kitchen staff to the wait staff. For a heightened perspective, the 90-minute film took a one-shot approach look at the madness and chaos from this restaurant story. Think of the war movie 1917, but in the dining room and kitchen of a restaurant.

Boiling Point will be in theaters on Friday, November 19. Then it follows with a digital release and is available On Demand on Tuesday, November 23.
