Chris Evans Would Love To To Make A Buddy Movie With Chris Hemsworth Someday
Avengers: Endgame marked the end of Chris Evans run as Steve Rodgers, even though Captain Amerca will live on in his friend Sam. Whereas Chris Hemsworth as Thor could still go on for some time, or not, we really don’t know what Marvel’s plans for Thor are.
Evans though would one day like to make an old fashioned buddy movie with his friend Hemsworth outside of Marvel. In a recent Variety piece with Hemsworth the Thor actor spoke about how the realtionship between himself and Evans was brotherly, and that they were split up during press tours because they were too much trouble together.
“With Chris Evans, I have a real brotherly bond. I think they wouldn’t pair us up on this press tour, because we just spend the whole time screwing around and none of it is on topic.”
The outlet then reached out to Evans himself about this who confirmed it was true and laughing said.
“Which is such bulls—! We had too much fun together, and truly like kids in school, we were separated because we weren’t getting s— done.”
Variety also noted that Chris Evans pitched an idea for a movie they could both star in.
“I would love to do one of those ’80s buddy comedies, where we could shed the characters we are known for.”
That would be interesting, as realistically Thor and Cap don’t have that many moments between them across the MCU thus far. In fact the plot ofCap being able to wield Mjolnir was probably the biggest thing between the two central Avengers.

It could definitley work with these two, but of course first they need a story and a script that works for them both. So any budding script writers out there, if you have an idea for a buddy comedy movie with Evans and Hemsworth, you should seriously get to writing that now. Who knows?
