Actress Cindy Busby joins When Hope Calls for its second season on Great American Family. With the new story line “Nora” played by the Canadian actress. After seeing her in the hit Hartland now available on Netflix and Peacock she is now going back to a period of time where life is more simple, but the drama continues.
The Synopsis
When Hope Calls is a spinoff of Oke’s legendary book series, When Calls the Heart and followed a pair of sisters, Lillian Walsh (Kohan) and Grace Bennett (Jocelyn Hudon) to the town of Brookfield, circa 1916. When Hope Calls is a family drama centered on the town’s orphanage and its residents who meet tremendous challenges while creating a hopeful, faith-filled community on the cusp of change in the frontier town while nurturing the children in their care.
Cindy Busby attended Dawson College after graduating from high school in her birth city, Montreal, Quebec. Her first acting experience was in theater before moving on to television and film. She is known for being a regular on several tv series like Supernatural and Cedar Cove and of course the popular Canadian hit character, “Ashley Stanton” in Heartland. Hallmark has been a home for Busby with the ongoing recurring role of “Olivia Matheson for the Cedar Cove series. As for films on her resume, they include Dairy of a Wimpy Kid, The Big Bear with Steve Martin, The Wrong Stepdaughter and Chasing Waterfalls.

I had the opportunity to connect with Cindy Busby via Zoom to talk about her participation in When Hope Calls. She spoke about getting to play “Nora” and a little bit of what we can expect of her.
