Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is filming now and in a new interview showrunner Dario Scardapane teases new villains. Whilst Season 2 has one more episode left next week we have been told to expect this to be an end to the ‘Mayor Fisk’ storyline. That means whilst the story continues, we have to go in some new directions.
Now, I am well aware there are a lot of set photos leaking for Season 3. We have covered here that the Defenders seem to be back, but who are they up against? One villain has certainly been teased, or set up in Season 2, but we have to imagine there’s more.
Speaking with The Direct Scardapane said,
“Yeah, I mean, the idea of heroes and villains in our story… Somebody that you may see can evolve into something unexpected… The idea of introducing characters that we know, Bullseye being one of them, and playing around with, ‘Should we be rooting for this guy? Wait a second, we can’t do that. He killed Foggy.’ So yeah, I mean, everything’s on the table. I think that fan expectations get… I love reading theories. They tend to far outstrip our abilities. But yeah, we’ve got a few more people heading your way.”

As yet, there is only speculation on which other villains may show up in Season 3. Given that The Hand are back in New York, appearing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, they could be a prime candidate. However, it remains to be seen for now, other than the one (probably secondary villain) set up in Season 2.
Perhaps some information will leak during further shoots. Though frankly, for now I’m quite happy not knowing too much about Season 3.
