Disney Reclassifies Fox’s Marvel Films As Marvel Legacy

Similar to how Disney classified Expanded Universe content from a galaxy far, far away as Star Wars Legends, the company has rebranded the Marvel films made by Fox as Marvel Legacy films. The films now have their own secton on Disney+, separate form the Marvel Cinemtic Universe.

Fox was hit or miss with their X-Men films. And faired even worse with their efforts to bring the Fantastic Four to the big screen in a satisfying way. Fans hope that the properties will be handled better now that Marvel mastermind KevinFeige and his team wlll be in charge.

Hopefully this is the biginning of a process which at some point willbring the newly acquired properties such as Fantastic Four, X-Men, an Deadpool into the MCU. The title Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness seems pretty clear. And with it confirmed Doctor Strange will be part of the next Spider-Man film, along with rumors of this Spidey dimension hopping, The multiverse appears to be what will push the MCU forward.

This also would line up with Marvel using the multiverse to explain where the X-Men other recently obtained characterss have been all this time. So when will these characters be introduced? That remains to be seen, but I would assume it’s somewhere toward the top of Feige’s to do list.

Most of the above is speculation and a collection of unconfirmed information that I have read througout the web.

How the X-Men and Fantastic Four are introduced, I will leave that to Feige and Marvel. However, I am still in love with the idea of having Deadpool be Noobmaster69. The gamer who was being mean to Korg, and then received a lecture from Thor in Avengers: Endgame. I think that’s just about perfect.
