We have an end-of-the-world comedy coming soon with so many big stars in it, it’ll make your head spin. Netflix has released the official trailer for Don’t Look Up. The movie will stream on December 24.
The Synopsis For Don’t Look Up
Based on real events that haven’t happened – yet. Two astronomers go on a media tour to warn humankind of a planet-killing comet hurtling toward Earth. The response from a distracted world: Meh.
Starring in Don’t Look Up is Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Rob Morgan, Meryl Streep, and Jonah Hill. Also starring is Tyler Perry, Cate Blanchett, Ron Perlman, Timothée Chalamet, and Ariana Grande. This film has a lot of big names.
The Trailer
The trailer starts off with DiCaprio, Lawrence, and Morgan’s characters explaining to the President of the United States that a comet is heading toward Earth. For some reason, everyone else in the Oval Office aren’t concerned. The President tells them that they should sit tight and assess. We’ve had some dumb politicians in this country, but never has one been this idiotic. And when the astronomers spread the news to the world, the people don’t care as well. If they could care less, they would be brain dead. The astronomers are brought back to the White House. Then some jackass tells the President and her hired morons that the comet’s resources are worth $30 trillion. Is it even possible for these astronomers to save the world?

I know there are some people who enjoy movies like this, the surrounded by painfully stupid people, but it’s not for me. I struggled watching Idiocracy. My husband loved it and I’m sure he’ll enjoy Don’t Look Up. I did enjoy Chalamet and Perlman’s parts in the trailer. Hick Chalamet was freaking hilarious.
