The foodie world missed Anthony Bourdain since he’s suicide in 2018, leaving a certain void on the small screen for food culture around the world.
The world traveler Bourdain led an interesting life before becoming a renowned celebrity chef, author, and travel documentarian.
Dominic Sessa (The Holdovers, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t) will portray the title character of Anthony Bourdain.
The rest of the cast includes Emilia Jones (CODA, Brimstone), Dagmara Dominczyk (The Count of Monte Cristo, Miller’s Girl), Rich Sommer (The Devil Wears Prada, Mad Men), Stavros Halkias (Bugonia, Tires), with Leon Woodall (Tuner, One Day) and Anthony Banderas (The Mask of Zorro, The Skin I Live In). The film is directed by Matt Johnson.

A 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain travels to Provincetown and stumbles into the chaotic world of a restaurant kitchen, setting off a summer that will shape the course of his life.

The film is the origin story of Anthony Bourdain as he discovers the culinary career that leads him down the path to becoming the beloved television host.
Tony will be in select theaters in both New York and Los Angeles on August 7, then follow up with a wide release on Friday, August 21.
