First Photos From M. Night Shyamalan’s Glass

The first photos from to M. night Shyamalan’s Glass have surfaced. The film is set to pull double duty by serving as a sequel to both Unbreakable and Split. You can check out the photos here. The film will bring the character of the two films together and form the the director’s own shared cinematic universe.

Wow, does Sam Jackson look good in purple or what? Mr. Glass always was a snazzy dresser, but to me the most interesting of the photos is the one with Jackson, Willis, and McAvoy restrained in what looks to be some sort of mental health facility. When Shyamalan is at his best he makes great films, but when at his worst he gives us movies like Lady in the Water, and the second half of the village

Unbreakable is probably my favorite Shaymalan film. I always thought it was quite clever in its use of a simple concept, balance. I also enjoyed Split so Glass is definitely on my radar.

Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis reprise their roles from Unbreakable, while James McAvoy and Anya Taylor-Joy will return as their Split characters. Actress Sarah Paulson (Her name was Sarah Paulson!) will also appear in the film. It’s also likely that Shyamalan himself will have a cameo in the film as he often does.

Glass breaks at the theater January 18, 2019.
