Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 3 Rumored Production Date

Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3 has been in a state of flux. First director James Gunn was ousted from the project. Then it was announced he would be at the very least providing the script for the third film in the trilogy he shaped from the outset. Most recently, Gunn was graciously brought back on to direct the project, which is arguably his baby as more than half of people had no god**** idea what or who Star-Lord, Groot, Rocket Raccoon, Gamora, and Drax even were, let alone which comic book they came from. I’d wager going into the first Guardians movie a larger number of people had more knowledge of Howard The Duck than they did of anyone on the Guardians roster.

Many fans were ecstatic to hear Gunn was once again directing. With Marvel coming up against the closing of the current phases chapter, they better start getting their ducks in a row as hungry fans will be awaiting more good Marvel movies to consume. I can guarantee that if more than one of these post Avengers: Endgame movies suck, there’s going to be blood in the water. So far Marvel has steered their ship clear of disaster, unlike the initial Snyder run with DC that left the moviegoing audience a bit dismayed with a brooding Superman, a murdering Batman, and finally a lackluster villain.

Marvel continues to chart the future movies in their interconnected universe of films. The latest rumor comes from Production Weekly. According to the listing, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 starts production February 2021 under the title “Hot Christmas”. Though not the official title, I’m all for having a Marvel movie taking place during Christmas. Plus, Guardians has by far the best soundtracks in the Marvel universe. So yeah let’s bring on some potential 90’s Holiday jams and ass-kicking anthropomorphic characters.
