Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds’ have a, well, I’m not exactly sure what it is, a friendship, a bromance, whatever it is, it seems to be one-sided. Reynolds pursues Jackman like a love-struck teenager. However, his affection is unrequited. Reynolds has had one main goal in his pursuit of Jackman, to have the actor reprise his iconic role as Wolverine in a film which Reynolds would co-star as Deadpool.
While that is extremely unlikely to happen, there’s an idea floating around that might even be better. While on The Jess Cagle Show, Jackman was asked if he would be up for a remake of the classic 90s film Face/Off that starred Nicolas Cage and John Travolta. Jackman had one condition which you can see down below.
“Is it possible to shoot it where we are never actually together? Is this possible? Then I’m open to that.

While this is almost surely a joke, I would love to see this remake become a reality. I think I may even choose it over having Jackman return as Wolverine for a team-up film with Reynolds as Deadpool. If this were to happen I would hope they would pay homage to the over-the-top action of film from the 1990s. Jackman will likely never put ton the claws again, but this remake could be the next best thing.
I understand why Jackman won’t return as Wolverine after the sendoff the character received in Logan, but he has to give us something, right? A Face/Off remake or how about him and Reynolds in a buddy cop film?
Would you watch a Face/Off remake with Jackman and Reynolds in the lead roles? Let us know in the comments down below!
