Jakob’s Wife Trailer Has Barbara Crampton Slowly Transform Into A Bloodthirsty Vampire

Jakob’s Wife is another typical boring marriage on the rocks. In this case, the couple is together until death tears them apart.

Scream queen Barbara Crampton is back in another bloody, violent horror movie with Jakob’s Wife. In this film, she plays a boring housewife, who gets bitten by a vampire. As she slowly transforms into the bloodthirsty creature, her husband stands by her side…..till the end.

The film also stars Larry Fessenden, Nyisha Bell, Mark Kelly, Sarah Lind, Robert Rusler, Bonnie Aarons, and Phil Brooks (aka CM Punk). Travis Stevens directed the movie that was written by Mark Steensland, Kathy Charles, and Stevens.

Here’s the official synopsis to Jakob’s Wife:

Anne Fedder (Crampton) is a long-married and hard-working small-town pastor’s wife. She and her husband, Reverend Jakob Fedder (Fessenden), have built a comfortable life. But something is missing in their relationship that neither can admit to or would know how to fix.

When a young woman from their church (Bell) goes missing, the fragile nature of their beige and banal lives becomes more apparent to Anne.

Under the pretext of business, she decides to meet an old boyfriend (Rusler) who has never forgotten her: his life has been exciting and he seems to offer her a new lease of life. But after some flirtation, a violent attack occurs. Shaking, bloody, and confused, Anne makes her way home, unable or unwilling to tell her husband exactly what has happened.

As Anne recovers, she discovers bite marks on her neck. And she feels different—more powerful, stronger, hungrier! The realization of what has attacked her seems preposterous and arcane.

She is increasingly torn between the lure of an enticing new supernatural existence and the notion of remaining Jakob’s wife.

Jakob realizes he will have to fight for the wife he took for granted. And for Anne, resisting the seductive power of an immortal vampire is no easy feat.

They both have terrible, life-changing (or life-ending) choices to make.

Jakob’s Wife will be in theaters, On Demand, and digital on April 16.
