Jay And Silent Bob Reboot Gets New Production Diary
Kevin Smith is trucking along with the production of Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, the latest addition to his decades-running View Askewniverse that began way back in the ’90s with the black-and-white film Clerks. With this sequel essentially injecting new life into this world, and with Kevin Smith at the helm, you can bet your bottom dollar there will be tons of callbacks to the other films.
One other such callout has been revealed. As has been Smith’s M.O. for the movie, we got another production diary video. This time around, Smith highlighted an animal wrangler, who helps keep people safe as they film on-location from creatures like snakes or alligators.

He also takes a moment to pontificate on the process of filmmaking as a whole, which he says is pretty much a cycle of them creating their own problems which he then has to solve with a bunch of other smarter people. That’s not a bad way to describe the whole process of storytelling. When all said and done, it’s about making a puzzle that didn’t exist and solving it for yourself.
