Marvel just won’t slow down! On the big-screen side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thor: Ragnarok nears release, Black Panther is in post-production, Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp are shooting, Avengers 4 and Captain Marvel are both in various phases of pre-production, and Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are both being written. Things aren’t moving any slower on the Netflix side of the MCU, with Punisher nearing release, the second seasons of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage in production, and new seasons of Daredevil and Iron Fist announced, or I should say, Jessica Jones Season 2 was in production…
It appears that Jessica Jones Season 2 has already wrapped filming, just five months after production began, making it shorter than the average shoot for a Marvel Netflix series of six months. Krysten Ritter, who plays Jessica Jones, and newcomer Diane Gibson took to social media to share photos of their wrap party shirts and gifts, signifying that at least principal photography involving the main actors is complete.

We don’t know much about the second season of Jessica Jones, save for the fact that David Tennant is returning as Kilgrave in some capacity. It is also safe to assume that Jessica Jones will be the next series to drop on Netflix, following Punisher, likely in spring of 2018, based on previous release windows. I certainly can’t wait, as Jessica Jones Season 1 still remains my favorite season of any of the Marvel Netflix series.
