Kevin Feige normally makes dreams a reality, but today he is here to shoot down a cool fan theory. Said theory relates to Disney+’s latest Marvel show, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Though the show is obviously about two of Cap’s sidekicks, turned leads, Kevin Feige says we will not see Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) in the show. I was always doubtful of this rumor, but one can hope, right?
Referring not only to the rumor, but Chris Evans’ previous response, when he said, “News to me,” Kevin Feige told EW:
I rarely answer no to anything anymore because things are always surprising me with what happens, but that rumor, I think, was dispelled rather quickly by the man himself.
Obviously, this still boils down to Marvel Studios secrecy, but as Kevin Feige said, usually he isn’t this direct with these type of questions.
I personally don’t see a need for Steve Rogers or Tony Stark to ever return, as it would cheapen the storyline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The only exception is seeing goateed versions of them in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. That would be a treat!
