Legends Of Tomorrow: Grodd Goes After Obama In Next Week’s Episode

https://youtu.be/tnwt80W7Rq4

One of the great things about The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow is that it allows us to see a lot of different iconic figures in our history from around the world. Interestingly enough, next weeks episode titled “Seeing Double” features a particular figure whose contributions to society are still fresh in the mind of many around the country, Barak Obama who will be played by John Noble.

Back in January, an episode featuring the former president of the United States was teased. Written by Keto Shimizu and James Eagan the story was to be set in the 1980s when Obama was a student at Occidental College. With the episode to air next week, we can now see that things are going to be a little rough for the future president as Gorilla Grodd will be on the hunt for him. I look forward to finding out the reasons why Grodd is going after him.

In the promo that we see above, I found it hilarious that they would tag the clip with the phrase “Make America Grodd Again.” Also we can see Sara saying “we’re on Obamacare”. I wonder if by chance the former president has seen the episode or had any input on his younger self. In an interesting note this will be the third former president to be on Legends of Tomorrow. With George Washington, played by Randall Batinkoff in Season 2 as well as Lyndon B. Johnson, played by Peter Hall is season 3.

Here is the synopsis of the episode:

With the timeline barely stable, the Legends must tackle two anachronisms at the same time to try and keep Mallus at bay. Sara (Caity Lotz) and Rip (guest star Arthur Darvill) team up to stop Grodd (guest star David Sobolov) from going after a particular target leaving Nate (Nick Zano) and Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) to stop Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) from changing her future. Meanwhile, the Legends think they have found a way to destroy Mallus, but they will have to create an uneasy alliance with one of their enemies.
