The Exorcist, River and Curry Barker’s next film, Anything But Ghosts, takes the spotlight as the home of horror returns to the Javits Center.
Blumhouse Atomic Monster, the home of horror, has announced plans for its annual BlumFest session at New York Comic-Con, taking place this Friday, October 9, at the Javits Center in New York City. And this year, the panel has a host who knows a thing or two about lore: MatPat.
MatPat, the creator behind Game Theorists, is one of the internet’s leading voices on story and lore. His early deep dives into Five Nights at Freddy’s and the Backrooms helped bring both worlds into the mainstream, making him a natural fit to guide fans through Blumhouse Atomic Monster’s upcoming slate. Fans who have followed his theories for years can expect a host who is as invested in the details as they are.
MatPat will welcome an impressive roster of special guests to the stage. Director Mike Flanagan and star Chiwetel Ejiofor will represent The Exorcist, while star Jessica Rothe will be on hand for Josh Giuliano’s River. Multimedia storyteller Heidi Wong will also join the session, along with two of the biggest names in modern horror: director and Atomic Monster founder James Wan and Blumhouse CEO and founder Jason Blum.

BlumFest kicks off at 6:00 PM ET on the Empire Stage at the Javits Center. Doors open at 5:30 PM, and fans are encouraged to arrive early to secure a seat. More details are available on New York Comic-Con’s website.
