Ming-Na Wen Responds To Fans Fight For Saving Agents Of SHIELD
Agents of SHIELD fans are going nuts right now trying to get the series back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The #SaveAgentsofSHIELD has been trending and Ming-Na Wen, who played the character Melinda May, responded on the social media outcry to Deadline.
Ming-Na Wen’s Response
I love that our small fanbase is getting bigger and bigger, because I think people are starting to rewatch all the episodes and realizing what a wonderful series it was and I love the fans and the fans’ reactions
Fingers crossed. Who knows?
When Agents of SHIELD first came out, I loved the show, but I dropped it after a few seasons. It just looked like the show got more and more control with every season that came out. I didn’t like the direction they went with the show. At first, the show tried to stay a little on course with the MCU, then it got weird. I finally watched the entire series last year and I’m just still not a fan. There were many issues I had like the path they went with Hydra and I didn’t like Aida/Dr. Radcliff story-line. I Also didn’t like the space and time travel story-lines. And why won’t people let Coulson die. Such a miserable existence. So basically, I disliked most of everything after season 2.

I don’t think Agents of SHIELD would make sense becoming canon again. I loved Ming-Na Wen’s character, Melinda May, but I just don’t think the show could or should come back to the MCU.
