Moon Knight Directors Named And No Sign Of George Clooney

Remember the rumor that George Clooney might direct an episode of Moon Knight? Well the Moon Knight directors have been named and there is no sign of Mr. Clooney. Check out the post from Collider‘s Steve Weintraub below.

As per the above, we now know that Mohamed Diab directed episodes 1, 3, 5 and 6. Also that Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directed episodes 2 and 4. All of these were known to be on directing duties, but given the episode counts here we now know there was no episode secretly directed by Clooney. The whole thing was frankly more of a speculation thing than a solid rumor. Clooney was around at the same time, he’s worked with Isaac before, yadda, yadda, yadda. Though The Ronin did claim to hear the news from sources, you can find that source through the related article below. Oops.

Moon Knight premieres with the Mohamed Diab directed episode on March 30th. Just over a week now until we see the MCU version of Moon Knight and I must say I’m intrigued. I was reading comics in the ’80’s, which was before the Marc Spector (original was created in ’75) version and I honestly had never come across the character before the MCU era. It was when fans starting asking for an MCU version of Moon Knight that I initially did some research on who the character was.

I don’t recall much of what I read a few years ago. I therefore feel like I am going into Moon Knight remarkably fresher than I normally am with MCU or Star Wars content. I’m not really sure what to expect and that’s rather exciting for a new show. I hope it’s great as I recall many fans campaigning for an MCU version for a long time.

Well, what do you think of the named Moon Knight directors? Are you surprised there’s no secret George Clooney directed episode, or was that never on the cards for you? Thoughts below as always.
