Some more potential evidence has emerged that Wheel of Time S3 could release as early as this Spring/Summer. Previously we covered a rumor from WoT Up! that they had heard from sources to take time off in Spring. This would only be 1.5 years since the release of Season 2 and most fans expected it to not drop till Fall of next year.
Now the same source has come across some more evidence which could point towards an earlier release. A special effects studio has stated their deadline for work on Season 3 is the end of this year. Now on it’s own that’s perhaps not big news. However, it would indicate there is a deadline this year for other firms doing work. If that deadline is the end of the year, it indicates there’s a reason this work all needs to be assembled so quickly. If Season 3 were not arriving till Fall then there’s no way they’d have that deadline.
Additionally the source above thinks we are likely to see something at CCXP this year. Possibly teasers, release date, who knows? Some kind of presence is expected though.

Some fans were hoping for an announcement at this past weekend’s NYCC. However, there realy were no rumors such a thing would happen. It’s probably a bit quick given the poor marketing job Amazon has done with Wheel of Time.
Don’t expect any billboards or massive coverage like Rings of Power gets. The sad thing is, if Amazon marketed WoT half as well as they did that awful series they’d have a bigger hit on their hands. As it is, for the money spent, Wheel of Time continues to be more profitable than RoP. Not in overall numbers, but those numbers have to be a lot higher for a show with a bigger budget and what seems to be triple the marketing budget. For the money spent, Wheel of Time is actually doing okay.
