When will Cobra Kai Season 3 hit Netflix?
I think most fans will agree that Cobra Kai is way better than it had any right to be. It was created as a follow-up to The Karate Kid, and in an age of reboots and sequels, it could have been a lame cash-grab. Even crazier was that the series clearly had a relatively low budget, and didn’t necessarily have the most experienced actors in front of the camera. And yet, in spite of that, the show is pretty freakin’ awesome, and has continued the Karate Kid legacy very well.
It follows Johnny Lawrence, former villain and student of the Cobra Kai dojo. His life hasn’t exactly gotten better in the decades since The Karate Kid. He decides to reopen the dojo and, in the process of helping a bunch of school kids protect themselves from bullies, inadvertently starts up the cycle of violence once again.
The series lasted two seasons at YouTube Premium, it was effectively canceled. Luckily, Netflix swooped in to air the first two seasons before airing the third season. Now, they released a new trailer teasing those two seasons!

So, when can we expect to see the third season? Sadly, we’ll have to wait a bit. While series co-creator Jon Hurwitz stated this past June that we could expect Cobra Kai Season 3 by the end of the summer, it doesn’t look like that’ll be the case. As you saw in the trailer, the season has been pushed to 2021, which is a huge bummer.

As far as the reason behind this delay, I can only guess. It does without saying that there are countless factors that go into decisions like that. And we can’t forget about a little thing called COVID-19 that threw a wrench in everything.
