Just in time for July’s Family Golf Month, a heartfelt story about brotherhood, sacrifice, and second chances swings into theaters.
Lionsgate has released the official trailer for The Short Game, a new family-friendly sports drama set to open in select theaters on July 25, aligning perfectly with Family Golf Month.
Directed by Frank Sanza, The Short Game follows high school golf phenom Jeremy Avery, played by Ben Krieger(Counting Stars), as he chases a coveted college golf scholarship. With the State Championship looming, Jeremy’s path to glory is thrown off course by mounting responsibilities at home. His mother is recovering from cancer, and he’s now the primary caretaker for his younger brother Ethan, a boy with autism and an extraordinary, untapped talent for the game.
As the pressure intensifies—on the course and at home—Jeremy must face more than just a fierce rival who’s willing to bend the rules to win. He’s forced to confront what truly matters: personal glory or family loyalty.
