On Fire Trailer Hits Too Close to Home with Wild Fires

On Fire

The world is burning with the planet heating up and climate change. More raging wild fires have threatened cities and residents in recent memories, with the township of Paradise in Calif. and, most recently West Maui fires.

Based on actual events, On Fire retells the narratives of many families escaping a fast-moving fire that jeopardizes lives and cutting off escape plans.

The film stars Peter Facinelli (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn), Fiona Dourif (Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency), Asher Angel (Shazam!), Lance Henriksen (Aliens), Glenn Morshower (The Resident), and Ross McCall (Band of Brothers). Nick Lyon and Facinelli directed the movie from the screenplay written by Ron Peer and Lyon.

Here is the official synopsis:

Inspired by true and harrowing events, On Fire tells the story of an ordinary man (Peter Facinelli) that finds his world suddenly torn apart as devastating wildfires rip through the surrounding countryside. With precious moments ticking by, he must flee with his son (Asher Angel) and pregnant wife (Fiona Dourif) if they have any hope of surviving the rapid forces of mother nature.

Countless lives and homes are lost due to these wildfires. On Fire should serve as a narrative warning for families to be prepared and vigilant towards these natural dangers. Although this film is for entertainment purposes, the reality is very real.

On Fire is in select theaters on Friday, September 29.
