Vison sadly, is dead, but perhaps not for long? Paul Bettany happy to play Vision going forward in the MCU? Hmm, we know Vision is back in WandaVision, though whether he is really back, or just a construct of Wanda is harder to say? Being as powerful as Wanda is, perhaps her own creation is as good as the real thing? We also know that WandaVision is being listed as Season 1, which may indicate a possible Season 2? If there was a Season 2, it would be pretty hard to pull it off without Vision I’d guess?
Therefore, whilst he was careful, when Paul Bettany says he’d love to keep playing Vision in the MCU, you listen. This does not feel like an actor simply hoping they can come back because it’s solid paid work. However, judge for yourself, as always. In a recent interview with SFX Magazine, here is what Bettany said about is MCU future.
“I’m going to not speak on that one. I love playing the Vision, I would absolutely love to continue in some way, shape or form, in the universe. I love this character, and I think that, as you will see when you get to watch this, anything is possible. We can break all kinds of rules. It’s very rich storytelling, and it’s full of many opportunities to tell all sorts of different stories. I love being involved, and it’s been a ride of a lifetime.”

Personally I feel like I want to see more of Vision. When he died in Infinity War we had seen so little of him, I felt like his development as a character had really just begun. Also, as one of the clearly most powerful of the Avengers we never really got to see Vision fight that much, which is a shame. Vision was badly injured early in Infinity War, and dead for Endgame. Other than the climax of Age of Ultron and a little bit in Civil War, we really haven’t seen Vision in action a great deal.
So unlike how I feel about Tony Stark, I would welcome back Vision 100%.
