Power Rangers Film To Be Written By Bryan Edward Hill

One of my favorite shows when I was young(er) was Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Who can forget that nostalgic and electrifying intro that got us all hyped up? Or what about when it came time to form the Megazord? Good times! Last week we had heard that there is going to be a shared universe developed between films and television. Now in my thirties, if this takes us back to the original rangers I am all for it!

eOne and Hasbro have brought in director Jonathan Entwistle to guide the new Power Ranges film and television adaptations. Today we also have news from Deadline that they are close to a deal with writer Bryan Edward Hill to write the feature film. The first set of Power Rangers debuted in 1993. It had been rebooted several times into different set of rangers. The latest reboot was a Lionsgate film back in 2017.

It’s Morphin Time… Again! Are You Ready For A Power Rangers Shared Universe?

Hill Will Be Great For The Power Rangers!

Hill is a fantastic African-American creator that has worked on all kinds of projects in television, film, and comics. He recently adapted Black for Studio 8/Warner Bros. and a rewrite of Paramount’s I Am Yours. He is currently a co-producer on the new HBO Max series Titans. In the comic book industry, he has worked for so many of the top publishers including DC, Marvel, Top Cow, Boom, and Vertigo.

With Hill being a friend of mine from back in the convention days, I am very excited to see what he has in mind for Power Rangers. He wrote one of my all-time favorite comic book series from Top Cow, Postal, which I recommend everyone should read. One request I have is to make sure to keep the epic formation of the Megazord! Something that the previous film clearly missed out on.
