In a recent convention appearance Ahsoka star Rosario Dawson comments on how Ahsoka has changed in the upcoming Season 2. The Star Wars series’ sophomore season will hit Disney+ in 2026. Dawson, the lead actor recently appeared at Comic Con Scotland.
Here’s what Dawson had to say about Season 2, video after transcript. Teasing, perhaps a lighter side of Ahsoka following her experiences in Season 1 with Anakin’s Force Ghost.
“She had a more of a strong gravitas at the beginning [as a Jedi apprentice], and she was a little bit more unflappable and I’m liking that she’s relaxing. She’s kind of getting back into her joy. I think those moments with Hayden [Christensen] and Anakin were so important for her to heal something, so she could be more present.”
“And that’s what I’m really enjoying. I think we get to explore that a lot more in the second season. I’m really glad that we get to add more joy into her life and see her relax a little bit more and work in community a little bit more than she has.”

I guess said ‘community’ is whoever they are aligned with in the new Galaxy? Given she is still stuck in another Galaxy alongside Sabine, Baylan and Shin. Though, Baylan at least appears to want to be there for some reason. I assume Ahsoka’s role will be to stop him doing whatever he is planning.
Meanwhile, the other half of the story back in the home Galaxy will involve Thrawn and the New Republic, plus Ezra Bridger.
