For some time we have heard rumor and rumblings about a new Batman: Arkham game coming to consoles in the near future. Whilst we know that Rocksteady is working on something or other, this Arkham Legacy game is not coming from them. Instead, we heard rumor that Warner Bros. Games Montréal are making Arkham Legacy. These developers also made the Arkham prequel game Batman: Arkham Origins.
Back on Batman day, the studio began hefty speculation when it appeared that they were about to reveal a game featuring The Court of Owls as the villains, you can catch that initial story in the related section below. It was at the time all calmed down and nothing really happened officially, but according to the latest rumors from SLCMOF, they say that the title will be officially announced at the Video Games Awards which are set to take place in around three weeks’ time. Not only this, but we also have a social media post from Arkham Channel, and whilst they don’t confirm this rumor, they do appear to be keen to see if it’s true and have no counters about the possibility of it being revealed at the Video Games Awards show. Check it out.
Keep an eye out on this on Thursday! There are good news coming our way, and hopefully it is confirmed true in the end. We've seen how reliable this source is. https://t.co/EJrwZ8uWJC

I must admit that despite being a decent game, Arkham Origins never quite felt as slick as and polished as the other Arkham games that came from Rocksteady themselves. I would also have to assume give the ending of Arkham Knight that this would be some sort of prequel again like Arkham Origins was. At the end of Arkham Knight, Bruce’s identity was discovered and he faked his own death within an explosion that destroyed Wayne Manor. That game also gave hints that a possible Batman Beyond game could happen in the future, and who knows, perhaps that is what Rocksteady has been working on for all these years in silence? Though this is nothing more than idle speculation at this point.
