Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was released in December of 2018. It’s taken three years to release the entire roster, but the last fighter is coming to the battlefield! The last Ultimate fighter is Sora from the Kingdom Hearts franchise. This reveal was very surprising to me and I’m so excited. Nintendo streamed the news a few hours ago. Take a look at the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate x Kingdom Hearts full trailer from IGN.
The Malone family are huge Kingdom Hearts fans so Sora being added is exciting news. Also, the trailer looks fantastic. I can’t wait so see this Disney character kick some ass. I showed my husband the trailer and he was incredibly shocked. He’s now listening to “Face My Fears” by Hikaru Utada from the 3rd game.
The trailer starts with the other fighters standing in front of a flaming Smash logo. The flames fade and a single piece falls to the floor as Mario steps forward. However, after reaching the ember, he grabs an unseen item from within and then throws it. The Keyblade comes out of the flames and unlocks a hidden key hole. Sora emerges, flies around, then summons the Keyblade to his hand, “Sora is finally here.” After the reveal, we get to see some gameplay with Sora. He even fights Sephiroth. The trailer ends with Mario and Sora shaking hands. Sora in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is going to be a lot of fun.

Also, during its stream, Nintendo released a clip with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director, Masahiro Sadurai. He shares a brief history of Kingdom Hearts, which is fun for the memories alone. The first game from the Kingdom Hearts franchise was released in 2002 by Disney and Square Enix. The game had so many beautiful worlds and was a blast to play. Sora was the main character and hero of the story and Goofy and Donald were his supporting party members. Nintendo had a Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot and Sora what the top requested fighter. Also, if you are interested in seeing the Nintendo stream, it begins at 29 minutes.
