Some Star Wars related news as we get our first look at Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger in Ahsoka Season 2. Ezra was introduced into live-action with Ahsoka Season 1 and Esfandi is back in the role for Season 2 of the Disney+ series. SDCC never saw a Star Wars panel or any trailers, but the con floor did have the image of Ezra from the upcoming Season 2.

The look is very different from the hermit/scavenger clothes Ezra worse in Season 1. The jacket here looks quite similar to Han’s in Empire Strikes Back. Esfandi also appears clean shaven now he’s back in the main Galaxy of the New Republic.
One assumes Ezra continues his conflict with Grand Admiral Thrawn, who will likely be up to no good. Meanwhile, Ahsoka Season 2 needs to also present a second story set within another Galaxy. Ahsoka and Sabine are stuck alongside Shin and Baylan (recast with Rory McCann) and no real help to Ezra or Hera.
We still have no premiere date for Ahsoka Season 2 and far as we know it is still in production. Though one would assume we can at least narrow the year down to 2026. There’s no way this makes 2025, and Lucasfilm currently have no other live-action Star Wars shows on the go after Ahsoka. I;m not even sure we will again just yet.
However, we do know Star Wars is coming back to theatres. Next Summer we have The Mandalorian and Grogu in May, and Star Wars: Starfighter starring Ryan Gosling goes into production in a matter of weeks now. As always with Star Wars, these are so far the only two I’m confident saying will definitely release. There are many more announced and currently still in development though.
