Star Wars: Jon Favreau Adds Key Entires Creative Team For New Live-Action Series

On the heels of the release of the latest Star Wars film, Solo: A Star Wars Story, we are now getting some news on the TV side of things for the franchise. If you’ll recall, Disney is hard at work at bringing their own streaming service to fruition, and one of the key components of making that happen is utilizing the Star Wars brand.

As we reported on months ago, filmmaker Jon Favreau is set to create a live-action series that will premiere on said streaming service. Now, That Hashtag Show is reporting that the series has begun to fill in the roles of the production and creative design team, starting with the likes of Doug Chiang and Andrew L. Jones…but what else have these guys done?

For starters, Jones has collaborated with Favreau in the past on his Jungle Book film — which is quite the project in and of itself. Additionally, he’s served as art director on projects like Avatar, Green Lantern, and Oz the Great and Powerful. Chiang is a Disney vet, who served as production designer on Rogue One, The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and The Force Awakens.

Each person brings key aspects. For starters, having someone like Jones, who he’s worked with in the past, will be key to making sure things go smoothly, but Chiang will also work to ensure that the look fo the series will be in keeping with what the franchise has established in its films, which is incredibly important.
