A small Star Wars update as Skeleton Crew gets a premiere date finally and some pretty rough looking stills. I honestly have not come across anyone inside or outside the SW fan base that is excited for this one. However, maybe we are all wrong?
Then again looking at some of these stills released below, maybe not? These are from the official Star Wars X account.

I picked my least liked image from these stills for the header above. I really dislike this image. I can’t even fully explain why, but it all just looks so… fan fiction/cosplay to me. I feel like this is something a bunch of kids with parents good at making costumes pulled off on photoshop.
As always, I hope I’m wrong and it’s a wonderful series for adults and children alike, but I’m not confident.
Here is what star Jude Law recently said about the show when he spoke to People.
‘Law tells PEOPLE that the “first word that comes to my mind” when describing the series is “joyful.”‘

‘He also explains that viewers will watch the kids “maneuver through” places where they shouldn’t be and adds that “seeing children in that environment in a Star Wars environment is thrilling and very, very unique.”‘
“It is a fun place to be, the universe of Star Wars,” he adds with a smile. “And there are great references to old films and recent episodes and series. There’s a lot of originality and I hope that will bring the feeling of fun to those who watch it.”
“I had a wonderful time making this with everyone involved,” he says of his time with the child actors. “Those four in particular who worked with me very closely were just great fun and incredibly professional, and I’m immensely proud to be a part of their crew.”
I should not be too critical yet. I mean we don’t even have a trailer for this. But when a show is giving me bad vibes just for the design choices I’m seeing in still, then I’m slightly worried. I just feel like this is going to be a massive flop and another nail in the coffin Disney are forcing Star Wars into.
Again, I hope I’m wrong and it’s fun. We shall see.
