Today we are sharing a Supergirl sneak peak intended to hype ahead of the teaser trailer coming after this week. Supergirl, starring Milly Alcock, is out next Summer and will be the second official DCU film behind Superman. The film will adapt the plot of classic comic book Woman of Tomorrow for the film. In fact that was initially the subtitle of this movie.
Check out the sneak peek below. I think it lets you know this is going to be tonally verry different from Superman, without showing us anything. As it says, there’s a longer teaser trailer coming this week. When this week? well, we don’t know that, yet.

I didn’t love Superman, but I sure enjoyed it, more so than probably any other of this character’s films since Superman II. Yet, for some reason, I just have a feeling I am going to enjoy Supergirl far more. Which, is weird since I was never that into Supergirl comics as a kid. I liked the classic Supergirl movies from the 80’s. However, I do wonder if that was merely some kind of sexual awakening with Helen Slater? Though I think that really happened for me more in Secret of my Success a few years later.
Anyway, that’s not what interests me in this new version at all. I just have a feeling it might be a very fun film.
Obviously we will share the teaser trailer when it drops later this week and hopefully we still think it looks good.
