The Mandalorian pleased fans with Katee Sackoff bringing Bo-Katan Kryze to life as a live-action character. Kryze, who at one time was in possession of the weapon known as the Darksaber, is on a mission to reobtain it.
This means she likely has a confrontation with Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon in her future. As Gideon currently has the weapon. Sackoff recently spoke with ET about her reaction to seeing Gideon with the Darksaber. You can check it out below.
“I was screaming at the TV when I saw that. I was like. He doesn’t even look good holding it.”
More from Sackoff, teasing that viewers will learn how Moff Gideon obtained the weapon.
“There are a lot of theories and there is a story there and we will find out but I would hate to ruin it for everyone. You’ll just have to wait and see. As a fan of the show, I hate spoilers. That has been the thing that has kept me really good on social media, to be honest. I didn’t want to ruin it for anyone. There is teasing something and then there is ruining it for people. I really wanted to make sure that I kept it exciting for them and I wanted them to live that moment for the first time when they see her and have it be everything that they wanted it to be for 15 years.”

The Darksaber is an ancient weapon created by a Mandalorian Jedi, the first to be part of the order of space wizards. Personally, Giden and the Darksaber is one of the more interesting aspects of the current season. More importantly, how the saber made it’s way from Bo-Katan to Moff Gideon, as I imagine many other fans are.
Bo-Katan’s addition to the series gives fans hope that Lucasfilm will bring more characters from the animated series to life in live-action, such as the bounty hunter Cad Bane. For one, he’s awesome, and two his western vibe would in my opinion fit almost perfectly into The Mandalorian.
