After watching The Mandalorian I was very pleased. Star Wars had returned to, at least, in my mind, the aspects that made it great. In the words of Lor San Tekka, “This will begin to make things right.” At least I hope so, lately, Disney seems unsure of what the future holds for the franchise with the Cassian Andor series being delayed, as well as issues with the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
For now, we can put those issues out of our minds and enjoy the video at the top of the article which displays some absolutely amazing technology, it appears the green screen will soon be a thing of the past. Seriously, this tech is f***ing mind-blowing, while I was aware of what they were doing on the set of The Mandalorian, it wasn’t until this video that I was able to truly appreciate it.

It’s no surprise that technology on this level was born through Star Wars. From the franchise’s early days the people involved with the film series have pushed the special effects envelope forward like few others, oftentimes developing the techniques out of necessity in order to capture a shot or sequence the right way.
