Toy Story 4 Clips Shows Woody And Bo Peep On A Rescue Mission
Toy Story 3 was a damn good movie — potentially one of the greatest trilogy-cappers of all time. Part of the reason I appreciated the film was how seriously it treated its subject matter. Over the course of a toy’s lifetime, not all toys would make it, and friends would be lost along the way. This was reflected in a throwaway line regarding Bo Peep, who was written out of that film as a casualty of the many years in between films.
A part of me always wondered what happened to her, but I did think it was gutsy of them to just toss her aside like that. Now, after all these years, it looks like we’ll finally get to witness the actual incident that led to her leaving Andy’s care. In this new Toy Story 4 clip from GMA, we see her and Woody in the midst of a rescue mission. Unlike how we saw her before, here she’s tough and proactive — a fitting difference given the change of the times.

This scene looks to be a flashback in the film, though it’s unclear whether or not this is something the movie will be opened with (that’s my guess), or a scene that is inserted when they encounter her for the first time in Toy Story 4. It’s a cool little clip, but sadly it’s cut short the instant it starts to get interesting.
The host then goes on to erroneously state that there was a love triangle between her and Woody and Buzz (come on, host! Do your job!), and very little new is revealed. But I can say, based on this clip so far, I’m intrigued to see the whole story. But Until then, I’ll just watch this scene from the opening minutes of Toy Story 3.
