I never had that affinity towards the Chuck E. Cheese style of restaurants that has creepy looking animatronics on display.
Maybe most children found this animatronics delightful. However, for some of us, it’s a nightmare to think they could be alive with their facial features and moving parts.
Nicolas Cage is on a hot streak of performing in independent action and horror films. He is a genre to himself.
In Willy’s Wonderland, Nicolas Cage plays a new hire, who is a sacrificial lamb to bloodthirsty animatronics as he tries to survive the night. Not quite sure currently on whether this is terrifying or hilarious. One thing for certain, it’s not a kids’ movie.
The rest of the cast includes Emily Tosta (Mayans M.C.), Beth Grant (Donnie Darko), Ric Reitz (Safe Haven), and Chris Warner (Idiocracy). Kevin Lewis (The Drop, Malibu Spring Break) directed the film from a screenplay by G.O. Parsons.
